Detroit's Woodward Avenue is rooted in automotive history and culture. In the 1950s and '60s it was a hotspot for cruising. It's even been rumored that the "Big Three" automakers used to test their cars out on Woodward Avenue back in the day. The annual Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, MI is a family-friendly celebration of classic car culture. Originally intended as a one-time event to raise funds for a local soccer field, the Woodward Dream Cruise is now considered the largest, most anticipated one-day car cruise in the US. The event attracts more than one million visitors from every corner of the globe and over 40,000 vehicles. From muscle cars and hot rods to customs, special interest and collectible classics. But in the days leading up to the cruise itself (when the traffic is much less congested), many collectors and enthusiasts have their own unofficial cruises. The Cadillac team used one of those preliminary days to do a little cruise of our own. Check out these cruise photos from the 2007 Woodward Dream Cruise. |
