Discontinued in 2009, the XLR-V’s 4.4L Northstar V8 SC produced an astounding 443 HP at 6,400 rpm and 414 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,900 rpm. Its Magnetic Ride Control, one of the world’s fastest-reacting suspension systems, could speed-read the pavement up to 1,000 times per second, instantly adjusting for optimum maneuverability on the fly. This two-seat open-air roadster sported a deluxe driving environment that had everyone clamoring to ride shotgun. Temperature-adjusting seat surfaces with two heating and cooling levels and a heated steering wheel kept the driver and passenger comfortable. Exotic Zingana wood appointments and kinetic aluminum accents completed the picture inside.
