You demand the very best; that’s why you drive a Cadillac. And the Cadillac Protection Plan was created to meet your high expectations. The Cadillac Protection Plan is easy to purchase. Simply choose the coverage that’s right for you, Silver or Platinum, along with your deductible and contract term.

 

The Cadillac Protection Plan comes with extras in addition to coverage for approved repairs, including lost key and lockout, trip interruption, towing and road service, and rental car reimbursement.


If a covered breakdown occurs, you’ll also have access to the Certified Service technicians found at the 4,000+ GM dealerships nationwide. These technicians are specially trained to work on GM vehicles. They can even use the same quality parts as those used when your vehicle was first built.

HOW YOU'RE COVERED

RENTAL CAR COVERAGE (for covered breakdowns)

Need to rent a vehicle while yours is being repaired? No problem. The plan will pay for or reimburse you for receipted expenses to rent a replacement vehicle or for alternate public transportation expenses while your vehicle is being repaired (up to $40 per day/maximum of $280 for each repair visit).


TOWING & ROAD SERVICE

If your vehicle is disabled, the plan will cover your towing or road service charges, up to $150 per occurrence.


TRIP INTERRUPTION

If your Cadillac experiences a covered breakdown more than 100 miles from your home and a repair facility needs to keep it overnight, the plan will reimburse you up to $200 a day for receipted hotel and restaurant expenses, for up to 4 days or a total of $800 per occurrence.


LOST KEY & LOCKOUT

If your keys are lost, broken, or if you accidentally lock yourself out of your vehicle, the plan will reimburse you for receipted expenses, up to a maximum of $35, for locksmith services.


TRANSFERABLE

If you decide to sell your vehicle, your coverage can easily be transferred to the new owner upon payment of any applicable transfer fee and completion of paperwork.


CANCELLATION

You may cancel your contract at any time, including when you sell the vehicle or if loss of vehicle occurs. If the contract is canceled within 60 days and no claims were filed, you will receive a full refund. If the contract is canceled after 60 days or if a claim was filed, you will receive a pro rata refund less claims paid (where permissible) and any applicable cancellation fee.


ONE-TIME DEDUCTIBLE ELIGIBILITY

You can choose the deductible that is right for you. Once a covered part is repaired or replaced, the deductible for future repair or replacement of the same part is waived.

Covered service at GM dealerships is performed by factory-trained Cadillac Certified Service technicians. That’s what is recommended by Cadillac, and after all, they built it, so they know exactly what you need to get you back on the road.

 

PLATINUM WRAP COVERAGE

Available in addition to the Platinum coverage of the Cadillac Protection Plan, the Cadillac Platinum Wrap Coverage is a Vehicle Service Contract that provides exclusionary coverage. This means the plan will pay or reimburse you for approved costs to repair or replace any covered breakdown of all parts except for those parts that the manufacturer covers during its warranty term (full or certified), and except for those items listed in the Exclusions section of the Vehicle Service Contract. It’s coverage that redefines your ownership experience.

Platinum Wrap Coverage begins on the contract purchase date. The term for the Platinum Wrap Coverage will be based on your vehicle’s make and is only eligible for purchase during the vehicle’s Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty period. See your Cadillac dealer for coverage details.

PLATINUM COVERAGE

With Platinum Protection, you’ll have our most comprehensive coverage for your Cadillac. Platinum Protection is the best way to help ensure that you are protected against potentially expensive, covered repairs.

In the event of a covered breakdown, even when it is the result of normal wear and tear, you’re protected. The Platinum Protection Plan coverage is an exclusionary coverage. That means that everything is covered on your Cadillac unless it is in the Exclusions section of the Vehicle Service Contract.

WHAT COVERAGE LEVELS DOES THE PROTECTION PLAN OFFER?
There are two levels of coverage offered through the Protection Plan: Silver and Platinum. Silver provides basic component coverage, while Platinum covers most mechanical and electrical components on your Cadillac. See your Cadillac dealer for more details on both plans. WHERE SHOULD I GET MY CADILLAC REPAIRED?
During the term covered by your plan, you may have covered repairs completed at any Certified Service center.

WHAT IS A DISAPPEARING DEDUCTIBLE AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Disappearing Deductible feature provides the ability to waive the $100 deductible when you return to the dealership where you purchased the plan for a repair covered under the plan. If you go to another dealership for a covered repair, you will have to pay the $100 deductible.

HOW DOES THE CADILLAC PROTECTION PLAN COMPARE TO THE CADILLAC CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED VEHICLE COVERAGE?
The Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned program provides a 12-Month/12,000-Mile (from date of purchase) Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty, whichever comes first, along with 5-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty coverage from the new-vehicle in-service date, whichever comes first.

Every Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from GM comes with a transferable 5-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, plus Roadside Assistance and Courtesy Transportation.

The Cadillac Protection Plan can begin when the Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned coverage expires (subject to a waiting period; see your dealership for details), for whatever time and mileage option you choose to purchase. For more information, see the Protection Plan Vehicle Service Contract.

WHAT IS THE COMMERCIAL-USE SURCHARGE?
It provides your vehicle Protection Plan coverage if you intend to use your Cadillac vehicle for activities such as jobsite activities, delivery of goods, service or repair work, farming, ranching, route work, or snow removal. The Commercial-Use Surcharge is paid at the time of contract purchase.

DOES THE COMMERCIAL-USE SURCHARGE EXCLUDE ANY CADILLAC VEHICLES?
Yes, it excludes vehicles that are being or will be used for the following commercial uses: taxi, rental, limousine or shuttle service, towing/wrecker service, police or emergency service, dumping (dump beds), cherry pickers, lifting or hoisting, principally off-road, or prearranged or organized racing or competitive driving.

CAN I PURCHASE PLATINUM WRAP COVERAGE AT ANY TIME WHILE I OWN MY CADILLAC?
Platinum Wrap Coverage must be purchased at the time of your new- or used-vehicle purchase, and the vehicle must be within the Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty period.

WHAT COMPONENTS DOES THE SILVER PROTECTION PLAN COVER?
The Silver Protection Plan provides inclusionary repair or replacement coverage for select components under the categories listed below that have experienced a covered breakdown, less the applicable deductible:

Yes, both Platinum and Silver Plans include those factory-installed components.

The Platinum coverage includes most components on your Cadillac, including all components covered by the Silver Plan. Components that are not covered are those listed in the Exclusions section of the Vehicle Service Contract.
