The arrival of the CT6 PLUG-IN signals the next chapter in Cadillac’s commitment to designing and building innovative vehicles. Fitted with a 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine, an 18.4 kWh Lithium Ion battery and an enhanced variable transmission (EVT), it combines responsive performance, precision engineering and one of the world’s most advanced hybrid systems. It shifts expectations of what a hybrid can be.
Make no mistake: the first-ever CT6 PLUG-IN is a performance vehicle. Propel from 0 to 60 in just 5.22 seconds with 335 hp and 432 lb-ft of torque and enjoy a Cadillac-estimated 30 miles3 of EV range. Exhilaration and efficiency are pushed to their limit with 150 mph of combined top speed on the race track and 78 mph of EV-only top speed.
The first-ever CT6 PLUG-IN pairs an advanced 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder direct-injection engine, a Lithium ion battery and an advanced two-motor Enhanced Variable Transmission (EVT). The Lithium Ion battery powering the propulsion system can be fully charged directly with a plug-in unit, as well as partially charged through automatic regenerative braking that recaptures and stores energy normally lost during braking and coasting. Additionally, “Regen on Demand” allows drivers to manually select up to 4 levels of regenerative braking while driving. Put all that technology together and you have the ultimate luxury-technology vehicle with a Cadillac estimated total range of over 400 miles* with a full charge and a full tank of gas, including a Cadillac estimated 30 miles** of electric range.
