The Pirelli World Challenge is a North American racing series sanctioned by the United States Auto Club. Born in 1990, the series consists of seven driver classifications and six classes of vehicles, with Cadillac competing in the series-topping GT class. These races showcase the raw power of Cadillac ATS-V.R Coupe to full effect. The races are short, intense battles, making them all-out exhibitions of performance. Even the extended-format SprintX races are only 60 minutes in duration, and feature a mandatory driver change during the race. This forces teams to make quick transitions and even quicker returns to the road. Over the past 14 years, Cadillac Racing has delivered 5 Manufacturer Championships, 6 Driver Championships, 34 wins, 120 podium finishes and 26 pole positions in the Pirelli World Challenge series.
