V-SERIES.R RACE CAR

Since 2017, every podium finish has been a testament to the passion, performance and progress that drives Cadillac Racing. With each IMSA season, fans witness the shared perseverance of the groundbreaking prototype V-Series.R race cars and boundary-pushing drivers.

ROLEX® 24 AT DAYTONA® 

A Red and White Cadillac V-Series.R Race Car With Number 31 Speeding on a Dark Asphalt Track.

STRONG RUNNER-UP FINISH IN DAYTONA

Navigating through overnight fog that brought on yellow conditions for more than six-and-a-half hours, the No. 31 Cadillac Whelen V-Series.R finished second, just 1.5 seconds behind the No. 7 Penske Motorsports car. This is the ninth podium finish in 10 Rolex 24 At Daytona races and the second consecutive runner-up finish for Cadillac Racing.

 

The Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing teams faced similar challenges throughout the race. The No. 40 V-Series.R finished sixth while the No. 10 V-Series.R suffered a mechanical issue near the tail end of the race, forcing the team to retire from the event.

 

Following the runner-up finish, Cadillac Racing now has 105 podiums (21 GTP®, 84 Dpi®) since joining IMSA prototype competition in 2017. The teams are now focused on the road ahead, with the 74th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring® on March 18–21 in Sebring, Florida.

Cadillac Racing persevered this season, demonstrating a true mastery of performance and racing excellence. With six poles in nine races and a seventh race with a front-row start, the remarkable technology and durability of the V-Series.R proved its mettle.
 

The No.01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R team also claimed the first-place podium finish in the finale—Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
