UNLOCK ENHANCED ACCELERATION WITH VELOCITY MAX

Velocity Max unlocks additional horsepower and torque from your vehicle’s battery and electric drive units, enabling more aggressive power and acceleration. This feature draws more energy from the vehicle’s battery than regular driving. Repeated use of the feature can drain your battery power.

To turn on Velocity Max:

1. Press the Velocity Max button (a button marked with a V) on your vehicle’s steering wheel or open the Driver Mode Control app on your center display and press the Velocity Max icon.

a. If you’re driving a V-series Cadillac EV, press and hold the “V” button on the steering wheel to activate Velocity Max.

Note: One short press of the “V” button on the steering wheel of V-series Cadillac EVs will activate V-mode.

2. When Velocity Max is activated, you will see a “VMax” icon appear on your Driver Information Center.

a. With Velocity Max active, you’ll have access to more horsepower and torque, providing quicker acceleration.

b. While Velocity Max is active and the vehicle is not moving, you can press the accelerator and brake simultaneously to enter Launch Control, which provides access to optimal torque when the brake is released.

3. You can turn the feature off by pressing the Velocity Max button or icon again.

a. If you’re driving a V-series Cadillac EV, press and hold the “V” button again to exit Velocity Mode.

Using this feature may deplete your battery at a faster rate due to the energy it takes to provide increased horsepower and torque. If driving range is an issue on your current trip, do not use this feature.
