You can charge your electric vehicle at home with two levels of charging that each offer a different rate of charge. When charging at home, power from the electrical grid will reach your vehicle through alternating current (AC) in the form of Level 1 or Level 2 charging. Your rate of charge will depend on which level of charging you use.

Level 1 charging can be done at almost any properly equipped standard 3-prong (120V) wall outlet. This type of charging should only be used when no other charging stations are available on the way to your destination.

Faster Level 2 charging* requires a 240V outlet for portable charge cords or a hardwired home wall charger, both available for professional installation at your home or personal charging location. This kind of charging offers charge rates that range from 7.7 kW* to 19.2 kW,* depending on your vehicle and charging equipment's capacity.

Common charging levels include: 

• 7.7 kW – Requires the included dual level charge cord or a 7.7 kW charger and a 240v standard NEMA 14-50 power outlet.* Maximum charging power of Dual Level Charge Cord with NEMA 14-50 plug.
• 11.5 kW – Requires a hardwired home wall charger that has been professionally installed at your home. Standard maximum LYRIQ charging* power with supporting wall charger.
• 19.2 kW – Requires optional 19.2kW onboard charging module. Optional maximum vehicle charging power with suitably equipped vehicles and supporting wall chargers.*

Your vehicle will automatically adjust its charge rate to achieve the maximum speed of charge that both the vehicle and power source share.

Trip planning is available through the myCadillac Mobile App* in the Route Planner section of the Map tab. In-vehicle route planning, including charge station location, estimated battery level upon arrival and Fast Charge Prep is provided via the Google built-in maps* system. If equipped, adjusts the battery to the optimal temperature for quicker Fast Charging. This should be done before charging at a Fast Charger. Depending on the outside and battery temperature, battery conditioning could take longer to reach the optimal temperature. When using Google Maps, the Fast Charge Prep feature begins automatically when a Fast Charge station is added to your route via the pin on the infotainment screen.

LYRIQ can be charged at Tesla Superchargers. With a GM-approved NACS adapter, LYRIQ can charge at Tesla Supercharger stations found via the myCadillac Mobile App.* Without an adapter, LYRIQ can be charged via the Tesla Magic Dock adapter if the Supercharger station is so equipped.

Level 1 charging utilizes a standard 3-prong household AC electrical outlet and is the slowest method of charging an electric vehicle.

Level 2 charging requires a compatible 240v AC outlet and charging equipment and can charge the vehicle up to 19.2kW when properly equipped. Level 2 charging is available at both home* and at public stations.

DC fast charging is the quickest charging method available and requires a public DC charging station. The Cadillac LYRIQ can charge at up to 190kW depending on the level of power available at the DC charging station.*

Rate of acceleration, travel speeds, vehicle maintenance, tire pressure and ambient weather conditions all impact the range potential of LYRIQ.

The standard warranty on LYRIQ standard Battery warranty covers your battery for 8 years or 100,000 miles.*

Charging to 80% or less for daily use helps promote battery health and optimal regenerative braking performance. “Daily to 80” will help your EV’s battery perform at an optimal level for longer. You can adjust your battery’s maximum state of charge by using your myCadillac Mobile App* or in-vehicle screen to make the adjustment when needed. If your route includes steep mountain terrain, it’s important to charge to 80% or less for optimal regenerative braking performance. Check your Owner’s Manual for more information.

If LYRIQ has an available software update, both the Vehicle Status section of your myCadillac Mobile App* and the vehicle’s infotainment system* will display an alert.
