CADILLAC FORMULA 1® TEAM ANNOUNCES DRIVERS  

The Cadillac Formula 1® Team today announced the signing of two star drivers to lead the team into its debut season in 2026.

 

"Our new drivers are a welcome addition to the Cadillac racing family—each brings a depth of experience, and an unwavering passion to win. Together, we’re building the foundation for American motorsports that will be an extraordinary legacy for Cadillac, GM and the sport.”

NEW CADILLAC FORMULA 1® TEAM LOGO REVEALED

The Cadillac Formula 1 Team unveiled its new logo in a video released ahead of the 2025 Miami Grand Prix held May 4, 2025. The video is the public’s first look at the branding that will debut when the team joins the FIA Formula One World Championship grid in 2026.

“Cadillac is honored to share the F1 stage with the best luxury brands from around the world. It’s a brand whose legacy on and off the track is filled with innovation, technological precision, and timeless beauty.”

TWG MOTORSPORTS AND GM APPROVED FOR FORMULA 1® TEAM

This is more than a commotion—it’s racing excellence in motion. TWG Motorsports and Cadillac are officially set to take the podium at the FIA Formula One World Championship grid in March 2026.

"The FIA Formula One Championship’s expansion to an 11th team in 2026 is a milestone. GM/Cadillac brings fresh energy, aligning with the new FIA 2026 regulations and ushering in an exciting era for the sport."

RUSS O’BLENES TO LEAD CADILLAC FORMULA 1 POWER UNITS VENTURE 

General Motors and TWG Motorsports—two titans of racing performance—tap Russ O’Blenes to form a “full works” team to build the race cars and power units needed to excel in F1. 

 

With experience in powertrain development for championship racing teams and award-winning production vehicles, and from leading the development of the GM Performance and Racing Center in Pontiac, Michigan, O’Blenes is positioned to bring Cadillac to the podium at F1 in 2026.
