STAR CHINESE RACER ZHOU GUANYU ANNOUNCED AS RESERVE DRIVER

Zhou joins a talented lineup of drivers at the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, which includes race drivers Valtteri Bottas—alongside whom he raced throughout his stints at Alfa Romeo and Kick Sauber—and Sergio “Checo” Perez, plus Test Driver Colton Herta, who will compete in Formula 2® with Hitech in 2026.

The 26-year-old Shanghai-born Zhou, who is China’s first and only F1 driver, also brings valuable experience from his time with Scuderia Ferrari, which will supply the Cadillac Formula 1 Team with its power unit and gearbox in 2026.

AMERICAN STAR COLTON HERTA NAMED AS TEST DRIVER

Nine-time NTT INDYCAR® SERIES race winner Colton Herta will serve as a test driver as the Cadillac Formula 1 Team prepares to join the grid. For Herta, 25, the 2026 season will mark a return to the European racing ranks, as the second-generation racer made his European racing debut in 2015.

Coming off his seventh INDYCAR season, Herta has recorded nine wins, 16 pole positions and led over 1,000 laps in his 116 career starts. He also holds the title of youngest driver to win an INDYCAR SERIES race and pole position, a feat he achieved in 2019 at the Circuit of The Americas™—home of the F1 United States Grand Prix.

CADILLAC FORMULA 1 TEAM ANNOUNCES DRIVERS

The Cadillac Formula 1 Team today announced the signing of two star drivers to lead the team into its debut season in 2026.

NEW CADILLAC FORMULA 1 TEAM LOGO REVEALED

The Cadillac Formula 1 Team unveiled its new logo in a video released ahead of the 2025 Miami Grand Prix held May 4, 2025. The video is the public’s first look at the branding that will debut when the team joins the FIA Formula One World Championship grid in 2026.

TWG MOTORSPORTS AND GM APPROVED FOR FORMULA 1 TEAM

This is more than a commotion—it’s racing excellence in motion. TWG Motorsports and Cadillac are officially set to take the podium at the FIA Formula One World Championship grid in March 2026.

RUSS O’BLENES TO LEAD CADILLAC FORMULA 1 POWER UNITS VENTURE

General Motors and TWG Motorsports—two titans of racing performance—tap Russ O’Blenes to form a “full works” team to build the race cars and power units needed to excel in F1.

With experience in powertrain development for championship racing teams and award-winning production vehicles, and from leading the development of the GM Performance and Racing Center in Pontiac, Michigan, O’Blenes is positioned to bring Cadillac to the podium at F1 in 2026.
