HOW TO GET HELP WITH PARTS, ACCESSORIES & TIRES

Get help shopping for parts, accessories and tires for your Cadillac. Learn how to select the right item to fit your vehicle, find local sellers, understand when you need new tires, check your order status and more.

Selecting the Right Part or Accessory

The best way to identify the right part or accessory for your vehicle is to search using your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Your VIN is 17 characters long and can be found on your state vehicle registration, vehicle insurance or on the vehicle itself — either on the driver’s side door or on the driver’s side door jamb. An example of where to find your VIN can be found below:

Once you have your VIN, visit the Parts and Accessories sites to start shopping for your Cadillac vehicle.

If you don’t have your VIN available, you can also utilize the following methods of searching for and finding parts and accessories:

  • Year/Make/Model — Enter the Year, Make and Model of your vehicle into the corresponding fields on the parts or accessories site for Cadillac. You can then search for the items you need; however, results provided may not be as refined.
  • Part Number — If you have the part or accessory that you are replacing, locate and enter its part number in the search bar.
  • Dealer Consultation — Speak with a parts and accessories professional at your preferred dealer to locate the right item for your vehicle.

Entering additional vehicle details for full fitment will ensure you find and select a part or accessory that fits your vehicle. For more technical questions, please reach out to your local dealer to ensure you are purchasing the correct item for your vehicle.

Tire Monitoring & Maintenance

It’s important to monitor the health of your tires to help ensure driving safety and maintain your Cadillac vehicle’s performance. We recommend that you monitor your vehicle’s tire pressure as well as the tread level. If your tires are at the wear bar level or have 1/16 inch or less of tread remaining, it’s time to consider new tires. It’s also important to regularly inspect your tires for other signs they may need to be replaced, including:

  • Bulges
  • Splits
  • Cracked Sidewalls
  • Visible Tire Cord
  • Punctures

Any of these issues warrant immediate attention and possible tire replacement.

DO I NEED A WHEEL ALIGNMENT?

Proper wheel alignment is key to the life of your tires. If your vehicle is misaligned, it can cause your tires to wear unevenly, and you may experience handling problems such as pulling or abnormal vibration.

Tires and wheels are aligned and balanced at the factory to help provide best overall performance. Adjustments to wheel alignment and tire balancing are not necessary on a regular basis. Consider a wheel alignment check if there is unusual tire wear or if your GM vehicle is significantly pulling to one side or the other.

A tire that is out of balance often affects ride quality and can shorten the life of tires, bearings, shocks and other suspension components. If the vehicle is vibrating when driving on a smooth road, the tires and wheels may need to be rebalanced.

WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY TIRES ROTATED?

As part of a newly revised maintenance schedule, owners of 2011 model year or newer GM vehicles are advised to see their dealer for a tire rotation every 7,500 miles.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN I NEED NEW TIRES?

You’ll need new tires when the tread wear indicators — called wear bars — appear. These wear bars look like narrow strips of smooth rubber across the tread and appear when it’s time to replace the tires. You should replace the tires if you can see three or more tread-wear indicators around the tire. Other indicators of tire wear include cord or fabric showing through the rubber, cracks or cuts in the tread or sidewall deep enough to show cord or fabric, bulges or splits in the tire, and punctures or damage that cannot be repaired correctly.

If you have questions about whether your car tires or truck tires need replacing, see the experts at your nearest Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac dealer.
